Keith Bynum is Disappointment, finally speaks up about Rock the Block Results.

HGTV’s “Rock the Block” is nearing the conclusion of its fifth season, with the finale episode scheduled to air on Monday, April 15, at 9 p.m. Eastern Time. In the final challenge of episode 6, Bryan and Sarah Baeumler emerged victorious in the 48-hour Surprise Bedroom Redemption challenge.

However, viewer reactions to the outcome vary, with differing opinions on which of the four teams deserved to win. Notably, “Bargain Block” star Keith Bynum expressed disappointment after failing to secure the win.

“As you prolly know Evan and I love a good meditation space. The built ins helped add storage and function while creating the perfect alter for the Buddha! Loved getting to paint this piece. It was really disappointing to know we got a perfect score from someone and still lost. I loved the grout when it cured. We haven’t seen the episodes but based on the online response people seemed to like what we did! So did I! #justiceforkeithandevan is my new favorite hashtag lol (see the last pic),”

Keith wrote in the caption of an April 9 Instagram post, which included photos of his and Evan Thomas’s finished bedroom/meditation space.

Keith Bynum Agrees With Upset Fans

Fans showed intense enthusiasm for the “Bargain Block” boys’ creation, with one user expressing frustration, saying, “I’m so fed up with #RockTheBlock. Your space was by far the best. The art alone done in 48 hours was amazing! It’s so frustrating! 🤬 🤬 🤬,” prompting Keith to respond with a simple “lol agreed!”

Keith engaged with several other users as well. In response to a fan’s comment alleging the competition was rigged, Keith didn’t affirm the claim but instead replied, “love this lol.”

Another fan expressed disbelief at the outcome, saying, “I am still in disbelief y’all didn’t win 😢! I thought for sure you had it in the bag!” Keith’s response echoed the sentiment with a casual “same lol.”

In a first for “Rock the Block,” the Surprise Bedroom Redemption challenge saw fellow contestants judging the designs instead of visiting HGTV stars. Each team evaluated their competitors’ spaces without the designers present, rating them on a scale from 1 to 10. Bryan and Sarah clinched the win with an impressive average score of 9.1.

Ultimately, Bryan and Sarah, along with fellow team Page Turner and Mitch Glew, pinpointed a single detail that may have contributed to Keith and Evan’s defeat: the grout color in the bathroom of their new space. Both teams observed that the grout shade made the stone tiles appear grimy, disrupting the serene, zen ambiance cultivated by the rest of their meditation room design.

Keith Bynum & Evan Thomas Are Hard at Work in New Orleans

As their redemption season of “Rock the Block” unfolds on air, Keith and Evan are already setting their sights on their next venture. The duo delightedly revealed in February 2024 that they’ve embarked on renovation projects in New Orleans.
