On 26 May 2023, Friday, HGTV’s Erin Napier shared a lovely picture of her children, Helen (aged 5) and Mae (aged 2) on her Instagram which goes as @erinapier. The two daughters are developing a tight sister bonding.
Observing the picture, Erin’s eldest was seen wearing a white and silver tutu, and the white feather added more beauty to her look. Helen has her arm over her little sister as the two watch a team of ballet dancers on the stage below.
The 37-year-old artist captioned the post, “All of a sudden, they’re becoming a team. Mae was cheering in the front row, and Helen was squinting into the spotlight, smiling and waving from the stage for her baby sister who called back, “HEY SISSY!”
Napier further wrote, “As they watched the younger ballerinas do their rehearsal, Helen whispered to Mae, “You can be up there one day.” It’s fascinating to watch siblings become friends.”
Followers were thrilled when they saw Erin’s girls bonding along so closely, and many were eager to let the TV star learn in the comments section of her picture. One commenter penned, “This is the sweetest!”
Another user wrote, “This is lovely. I’m Helen & my little sister still calls me sissy, she’s absolutely my best friend.”
A third fan added, “The most interesting and beautiful journey in the whole wide world, and just wait until the booboo’s get bigger and one is running to the fridge, spills 100 pieces of ice all over the floor while getting the few that made it into the Ziploc to sissy’s forehead as quickly as possible.”
Erin’s pictures of her daughters are all taken from behind. She is aware of sharing photos of her children’s faces on her Instagram page. The Home Town star shared that she won’t give her kids cell phones anytime soon.
The artist mentioned in a 2022 IG post, “Children are so short, we’re gonna savor every last second of our girls that we can. I bet lots of you feel the same way and have had success and I would love to hear about it.”
Earlier, Napier and her husband, Ben, have openly spoken about their parenting style, notably their choice to limit the number of gifts their kids get during the festive period. In December 2022, Erin talked with Yahoo Life stating, “Something she wants, something she needs, something to wear, and something to read — so four gifts each.”
Also, she remarked, “The most modest one will come from Santa. It’s something we want to be conscious of because I read somewhere about kids going to school after Christmas comparing what Santa brought them.”
“And the kids who didn’t get such a huge, extravagant gift, they wonder ‘does Santa not love me as much?’ We’re trying to shift the focus,” she added.
