The couple knows each other from Jones County Junior College. Erin was a yearbook designer thanks to fantastic design skills, which she implements to this date. And Ben was a feature in the magazine Erin was working on. They had some encounters and eventually developed a crush on each other. However, it was only during the yearbook’s photoshoot that the couple broke the ice and got together.

It was the year 2004 in the month of December. To this day, they celebrate their love week beginning on December seven. For Erin and Ben, it means much more even than their marriage anniversary. Furthermore, after an incredible three years, Ben finally proposed to Erin. He also wrote a book for his beloved, summing up their story, and writes one every year to continue it.

They rang wedding bells on Nov 22, 2008. Moreover, the couple currently lives in Erin’s dream house, which she had fantasized about since her early days. It’s a craftsman-style cottage in Laurel. Erin sometimes refers to Ben as ‘Big.’ Even though the fans think it’s because of his size, Erin clarifies that she does it mainly because of his heart. Today, the couple leads one of the most successful shows in the history of HGTV. The show Home Town is the second-highest rated on the channel’s history.

Their eldest daughter, Helen, was born on the 3^rd of January 2018. Helen gets her name from Erin’s grandma. According to Erin, Helen is an intelligent kid interested in designing works that she picked up from her momma. Helen was really excited about her little sister and painted her nails for the occasion.

Mae is the youngest daughter of the couple. She was born on May 8, 2021. Ben and Erin were filming for the ‘Home Town Takeover’ when Erin was pregnant with Mae. The couple describes it as a tough time.
