Marcela was born to her parents Antonio and Maria Rodriguez on July 19th, 1978 in San Diego, California. Her first experience with cooking came from her mother and aunt. She took on the passion by enrolling at the Los Angeles Culinary Institute and later in Paris at the Ritz-Escoffier Cooking School where she got her pastry certifications.
With the new skills, Valladolid moved back to America where she established her own catering business right from the comfort of her home. It was during this time that she developed a taste for recipe styling and television making her debut in The Apprentice: Martha Stewart. She later landed a role on Discovery en Español’s Relatos con Sabor, a cooking show which shaped her career into the chef she is today.
