HGTV personality Jenny Marrs recently shared an update from her family farm, addressing concerns about their newest addition, a baby lamb named Tommy. In a heartfelt Instagram post on June 15, the “Fixer to Fabulous” star reassured her followers that Tommy was on the mend after battling an infection. She wrote, “Tommy 🐑 update: he’s feeling much better today! Still temporarily blind but we are so hopeful his body and his eyes will heal completely. Y’all are so sweet to check in on our little lamb buddy 🤍.”
Jenny further elaborated in response to a fan’s question about Tommy’s health, explaining that the lamb had developed an infection due to a weakened immune system caused by insufficient nutrients at birth.
The Story Behind Little Tommy’s Adoption
Tommy first made his appearance on Jenny’s social media back on May 21 when she introduced him as a new member of their farm family. She explained how she had taken over bottle-feeding duties for the lamb after his mother couldn’t produce enough milk. Named after their neighbor “Mr. Tommy,” who entrusted them with the care of this little one, Jenny shared how quickly they bonded: “Our little Tommy now thinks I’m his momma and follows me everywhere (I may have taken him with me to carline… he just cries and cries when I leave him).” Despite trying to acclimate him to life in the pasture during work hours, it became clear that all he wanted was to be near her.
Fans were relieved by Jenny’s June 15 update indicating improvement in Tommy’s condition. Many expressed their joy and support through comments like “Baby Tommy 😍” and “So glad [Tommy] is feeling better. I’m praying for him.”
On June 18, Jenny continued sharing snippets of life with Tommy via Instagram stories—showing moments where he eagerly ran towards her when called or playfully chased her husband Dave Marrs around their yard as Dave attempted (unsuccessfully) to get some mowing done.
Excitement Builds for Berry Fest at the Marrs Farm
In addition to updating fans about little Tommy’s recovery journey, Jenny also reminded everyone about another exciting event—their upcoming Berry Fest scheduled for June 22nd—just days away from her post date! She mentioned there were still some tickets available for Saturday’s festivities and expressed enthusiasm about welcoming guests back onto their farm this summer.
The annual Berry Fest hosted by Dave and Jenny takes place amidst their lush blueberry fields where attendees can enjoy picking fresh berries while soaking up live music performances—all while supporting local vendors from Bentonville, Arkansas. Proceeds from this event go towards Help One Now’s initiatives focused on community care efforts in Zimbabwe and Belize.
Looking ahead into next year’s celebration plans set for 2024—Jenny revealed something special—they’ll be joined by John & Orpah; beloved leaders hailing directly from Zimbabwe whom they deeply admire! Attendees will have an opportunity not only meet these inspiring individuals but also hear firsthand accounts of leadership rooted deeply within generosity & selflessness—a true highlight anticipated eagerly by many involved!
