After graduating, Dr. Susan decided to move to Florida where she practiced veterinary medicine for three and a half years and then decided to start her own veterinary hospital “Broward Avian and Exotic Animal Hospital.

She is a mom of three (Eibar, Claire, and Miles). She owns a cat pet, 3 dogs, 2 turtles and a parakeet whom she enjoys spending time with.

Due to her passion for taking care of animals, she opted to volunteer at Buffalo zoo while Dr. Susan was in high school and college and also volunteered in Clinch River Raptor center while in veterinary school where she gained loads of expertise in her career, making her an incredible veterinary doctor.

She is currently a volunteer at South Florida wildlife center in Fort Lauderdale where she works in companion with Dr. Schneider, Wildlife Rehab director and also at Butterfly world in Pompano beach where she is the official veterinary doctor.

Dr. Susan Kelleher is always invited to address various national and international events where she shares her extensive veterinary knowledge with the attendants.

Doctor Susan received an honorary degree of science from the Alfred University for her great dedication to her career and also for her great expertise in veterinary medicine.

  1. I just now saw Dr. K operating on an animal wearing correctly gloves and mask while her assistant helping Dr. K was NOT wearing gloves totally countering and destroying the aseptic process.
