Did HGTV Just Tease Castle Impossible Season 3? What Fans Noticed

Castle Impossible may have just closed the doors on Season 2, but HGTV has already given fans a reason to wonder whether Daphne Reckert and Ian Figueira will be opening them again for a third season.

The network has not officially renewed Castle Impossible for Season 3 as of July 30, 2026. However, one carefully—or perhaps casually—worded Instagram caption has viewers convinced HGTV may already be thinking ahead.

Who Are Daphne and Ian From Castle Impossible?

Daphne and Ian are the husband-and-wife team at the center of HGTV’s ambitious French renovation series.

Their lives changed when Daphne inherited Château de Lésigny, her late grandfather’s roughly 500-year-old château on a sprawling 130-acre estate outside Paris.

Rather than sell it, the couple committed themselves to restoring the enormous property while developing its wedding and events business to help fund the costly renovations. HGTV’s series follows everything from structural problems and budget headaches to the discoveries that come with restoring a centuries-old estate.

Season 1 premiered in April 2025, and the show proved popular enough for HGTV to order eight more episodes. Season 2 premiered May 26, 2026.

HGTV Drops a Curious “Next Season” Comment

This is where things get interesting.

On July 16, shortly after Season 2 wrapped, HGTV shared photos of Ian holding the couple’s cat, Caillou.

The network jokingly wrote that its only request “for next season” was that Ian conduct all his interviews with Caillou.

Fans immediately zeroed in on those two words.

HGTV didn’t say “if there’s another season.” It said “next season.”

That is certainly encouraging—but it should not be mistaken for an official renewal announcement. Networks frequently use playful social-media language, and HGTV has not issued a formal Season 3 order or premiere date.

Still, given the timing, it is easy to understand why viewers are optimistic.

Fans Say There Is Plenty Left to See

There certainly isn’t a shortage of material for another season.

Season 2 followed Daphne and Ian as they tackled projects including the library, gatehouse, tea room, medieval-style tavern and Dove Tower bridal suite. The château remains far from completely restored.

Their personal lives are changing, too.

Season 2 concluded with the couple revealing that they are expecting a baby boy, adding an entirely new chapter to their château adventure. Fans immediately began asking HGTV for another season so they could continue following both the renovation and the growing Fig family.

Why an Official Announcement May Take Time

Fans also have reason not to panic over HGTV’s silence.

Season 1 finished in June 2025, but HGTV did not officially announce Season 2 until December 2025, several months later.

That precedent means a lack of immediate Season 3 confirmation does not necessarily spell bad news.

For now, however, the status remains simple: Season 3 is unconfirmed.

HGTV’s “next season” wording is the strongest little clue fans have received so far, but viewers will have to wait for an official announcement before celebrating another trip to Château de Lésigny.

And with a baby arriving, an enormous château still under restoration and viewers already demanding more episodes, Castle Impossible certainly has no shortage of stories left to tell.
