Castle Impossible Season 2 may be over, but Daphne Reckert and Ian Figueira are nowhere near finished with Château de Lésigny.
After transforming several major spaces, expanding the property’s event business, preparing a home for Daphne’s grandmother, and getting ready for their first baby, the couple recently looked back at just how much changed during their second season. The big question now is obvious: Will HGTV bring them back for Season 3?
Who Are Daphne Reckert and Ian Figueira?
Daphne and Ian are married high school sweethearts whose lives changed dramatically after Daphne inherited the historic Château de Lésigny from her late grandfather. The roughly 500-year-old estate outside Paris became both their home and an enormous restoration challenge.
The couple left their California plans behind and poured themselves into preserving the property, with Castle Impossible documenting their efforts beginning in April 2025. Their goal goes beyond fixing beautiful old rooms: they need weddings, events and other businesses at the château to help make its future sustainable.
Season 2 premiered May 26, 2026, with eight episodes focused heavily on improving the guest experience and creating new revenue opportunities.
Daphne and Ian Look Back at Everything They Accomplished
In a July 22 video shared by HGTV and the official Castle Impossible account, Daphne and Ian reflected on their busy year with a simple realization: they had accomplished a lot.
One of their first major projects was the secret library, created from a problematic former bathroom. The finished room gave the château an atmospheric location for photo shoots and also produced an emotional family moment when Daphne’s father and sister visited.
They also completed a massive transformation of the gatehouse, turning one of the property’s most dilapidated buildings into a functioning residence for Daphne’s grandmother.

The Renovations Were Also About Growing the Business
Season 2 wasn’t simply about making the castle prettier.
The couple upgraded the château’s powder rooms, a project Daphne said made a noticeable difference when selling the venue to wedding clients. They created a tea room to help generate income and transformed the dungeon into a medieval-style tavern, giving the château another space that could work for smaller gatherings instead of relying only on large events.
Perhaps their most ambitious undertaking was the historic Dove Tower. Across the final two episodes, Daphne and Ian raced to turn the three-story structure into a luxurious bridal suite while dealing with rising costs and the approaching arrival of their baby.
By the finale, Season 2 had become as much about their growing family as their growing business.
Is Castle Impossible Season 3 Coming?
For now, fans should be careful about treating online speculation as confirmation.
HGTV has not officially renewed Castle Impossible for Season 3 as of late July 2026. However, there is an encouraging clue. In a July 16 social media post, HGTV jokingly referred to a request for “next season,” which certainly sounds optimistic—but it is not the same as an official renewal announcement.
There is also precedent for a delayed announcement. Season 1 finished in June 2025, while HGTV did not announce Season 2 until December. That means a lack of immediate Season 3 news following the July 14 finale is not necessarily unusual.
Daphne and Ian also did not announce Season 3 in the July 22 recap video supplied for this story. Instead, they focused on what they had achieved and joked that despite preparing so much of the château for their baby, they still needed to finish the nursery.
There Is Still Plenty Left for Another Season
That may be the strongest reason Castle Impossible could continue: the château itself is an ongoing project.
Two seasons have transformed important sections of the property, but Daphne and Ian’s mission to preserve the estate, grow its businesses and raise their family there is far from complete. Season 3 remains unconfirmed, but the story clearly has room to continue.
Would you watch another season to see Daphne and Ian tackle the château with a new baby joining the adventure?
