Windy City Rehab stars were sued again, this time over fraud
Alison Victoria Gramenos and Donovan Eckhardt of “Windy City Rehab” went through lawsuits and contractual disputes. In 2020, the Ward family filed yet another suit against the couple. They had invested in Alobanward LLC, which counted seven of the houses in question. Asking for a handsome return on their investment, they have accused the duo of fraud.
Eckhardt’s assertion as a house flipper in Chicago collapsed entirely in practice, leaving the Ward family out $2 million. The Ward family alleges in a lawsuit against “Windy City Rehab” stars Alison Victoria Gramenos and Donovan Eckhardt “sheer ineptitude” and “gross mismanagement” in the renovation of their investment funding. The family claims that the lack of ability was something they could only see after seeing the show.
Gramenos tried to push the blame on Eckhardt, saying she merely designed and was not responsible for his contracting principles. Properties that were invested in by the Ward family reportedly had serious construction problems and needed expensive repairs. The show may have taken on scandals and this, perhaps, was what scholars believe partly responsible for its cancellation.
