Zoologist Steve Irwin was born Stephen Robert Irwin as “The Crocodile Hunter” since he hosted the then highest-rated series on Animal Planet with the same title.
Together with his wife, Terri, they worked on this and other projects, including Croc Files, The Crocodile Hunter Diaries, The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course, Breed Vets, et cetera. And outside TV, they owned and ran a zoo in Brisbane, Queensland, started by Steve Irwin’s parents.
In September 2006, unfortunately, Irwin met his untimely death when a stingray barb pierced his heart while shooting an underwater documentary titled Ocean’s Deadliest.

The 23-year-old was homeschooled until 14 and afterward joined TAFE Queensland East Coast and has certificates III in Business and Tourism.

Rober Clarence Irwin, her younger brother, was born on December 1st, 2003.
Robert made headlines when he was just a month old after his father fed a 3.8-meter croc while holding him close to it.
The Queensland government banned children and untrained trainers from entering the croc cage following the incident.
At the young age of 18, Robert is already an author, photographer, TV personality, and conservationist like the rest of his family.

57-year-old Theresa Penelope Raines, a.k.a. Terri, was born in Eugene, Oregon, on July 20th, 1964, to Clarence and Judy Reines. She is the youngest of three sisters.
Terri Irwin’s passion for saving animals was born from Clarence Reines, who often brought home wounded animals found on his trucks’ highways.
She opened an animal rehabilitation facility in 1886 and was soon handling 300+ animals; in 1989 began to also work for a vet hospital.
She met Irvin while on tour to Australia, and theirs was a case of love at first sight. Terri left her American life behind to settle in Australia soon after getting married.
She is an award-winning conservationist and author. In 2009 she became an Australian citizen as a tribute to Steve Irvin.
