Mina describes this endeavor as a refreshing throwback to her early career, rekindling the initial passion and excitement she experienced when she first started in the industry.

Mina Starsiak Hawk unveiled details about the spinoff project in the most recent episode of her podcast, “Mina AF.” She revealed that the endeavour, which involves a lake house her husband, Steve Hawk, and she had been eyeing for approximately three years, has now become her “new dream.”

Situated just 35 minutes away from Indianapolis in a community she holds in high regard, the project has captured her passion and imagination.

“It’s this place that I can see in my mind that’s going to be for my family, but also for my extended family, to make these new, amazing memories. I have so many friends that I hear tell great stories about growing up at their grandparents’ lake house and running around in the woods and building forts and just being kids, and I want that for my kids,” she shares.

Mina Starsiak Hawk and her husband plan to approach the project in two distinct phases, primarily due to budget considerations.

As she candidly explained, “because I don’t have enough money to do the whole thing at once. Despite what a lot of people think, I’m not rich.

The first consists of the living room, dining room, kitchen, main bedroom and bathroom, and the two bedrooms and bathroom for the kids. The second is the outdoor section in the back and the basement. rewrite this”

Mina Starsiak Hawk shared her current project status, stating,

“At the moment, we’re in the midst of filming the first phase for a two-episode spinoff, and it’s been an enjoyable experience so far. Steve is actively involved, the kids are frequently on-site, and we have the valuable assistance of Good Bones’ head designer, MJ Coyle, and construction coordinator, Austin Aynes, for the demolition work. The process is reminiscent of my early days when everything was filled with joy.”

The design approach for this project is “mid-century modern,” a departure from her usual style. Starsiak Hawk is working to maintain the integrity of this style while infusing it with her unique perspective.
