Dave Turin worked on the Gold Rush reality television show for seven years. In total, he was featured in 118 episodes. As such, he developed a large fan base in the process, which, helped him make a fortune. However, Dave left Gold Rush back in 2018. Here’s a look at what happened.
Why did Dave Turin leave Gold Rush? What happened?
Gold Rush fans were quick to realize that Dave had left the show during its seven season. People naturally started to wonder why Dave had decided to leave the show, and where he was presently. Well, here is the story.
Dave Turin left the show sometime in March 2018. This was as a result of not seeing eye to eye with another cast member of the show. The conflict escalated, eventually turning into a fistfight. The man in question is Trey Poulson. Sources say that their relationship had been deteriorating for a while now.
It is not clear yet the fightwhat led. Interestingly, Dave distanced himself from the feud, putting all blame on Trey. In his Facebook post, Dave declared that he would no longer work with Trey because he could not solve issues amicably.

The fallout between Dave and Trey led to the former’s departure from Gold Rush. This didn’t go down well with most of the show’s diehard fans. Dave had cultivated enormous support and fan base during his seven-year stint on the show.
As a result of this dissatisfaction among his fans, Dave was given his own show. A video was uploaded to YouTube showing Dave with a completely different crew altogether. In the video, Dave is seen with his crew mining gold in an undesignated area.
In 2019, fans were treated to a new reality show on the Discovery Channel. This came in the form of the title, ‘Dave Turin’s The Lost Mine. So far, the show has been on air for three years, releasing 44 episodes during its run time.
Any chances of getting back to Gold Rush?
Well, this didn’t seem like a possibility for several years. The bad blood that existed between Dave and Trey led to the former declaring that he’d never work on Gold Rush again. However, time seemingly heals all wounds. Well that and the promise of more money.
In 2021, Dave got the chance to come back to a new version of the show (Gold Rush: Winter’s Fortune). He works alongside the likes Tony Beats and Paul Christie.

No I wouldn’t be interested in watching anymore of the gold rush,I was a big fan but they have it figured out now. The hook was watching guys who didn’t know what they were doing deal with growing pains and we as a everyday joe could relate but Parker figured it out first it just a matter of time before they all figure it out and it’s just becomes a regular day at work.
Dave was and is the best man for the job, give him his own show and I know about 70 to 80 families that would be watching every week.
