Cristy Lee is an American TV host who is famous for her appearance in “All Girls Garage” and “Garage Squad” on Motor-trend Network. She was born on July 10, 1984, in Dayton Beach, Florida.

She was born to her father Barry Maccoy who was a mechanic instructor and her mother, Jean Maccoy was a teacher. Cristy Lee has always been an enthusiast of cars and bikes.

She currently hosts the new show “Celebrity IOU: Joyride” on Discovery Plus.

Who is Cristy Lee?

Cristy Lee spent her childhood watching her father work on the cars in his garage. Cristy graduated from DeLand Highschool, Florida in 2003.

She earned her degree in dance major from Dayton State College. Cristy moved to Michigan in 2008 and tried her hand at the real estate business.

She got her career started by hosting and covering the Road Racing Series of the American Motorcycle Association. She also hosted various car races on different sports channels like ESPN, ABC, and FOX Sports1.

In 2011, Cristy started co-hosting the show “All Girls Garage” with Barrett Jackson which jump-started her career. This show established Cristy as a well-known motorsports host and automotive expert.

Cristy left the show in 2014 and in the same year joined the team of the show “Garage Squad” as its host.

Cristy Lee joined the reality TV show “Garage Squad” in 2014 and hosted the show for eight of its season. The show follows a group of mechanics who transforms neglected automobiles and gives the advice to maintain them.

Cristy hosted the show as well as brought her expertise as a mechanic to the show.

Why did Cristy Lee Left Garage Squad?

Cristy Lee is famous for appearing as a host in the show “Garage Squad”. She worked in the show for eight years and left in 2021.

In the same year, Cristy joined the cast of another reality show “Celebrity IOU: Joyride” and could not join the cast of “Garage Squad” due to a clashing filming schedule. Cristy didn’t want to give up the new opportunity and thus left the show “Garage Squad” after eight years.

Before Cristy Lee joined the show “Garage Squad”, the show was hosted by Heather Storm, one of the automotive experts of “All Girls Garage”. Cristy Lee replaced Heather Storm as the new host of the show.

As of 2022, Bogi Lateiner, another member of the “All Girls Garage” is hosting the show “Garage Squad”.

Cristy Lee is Hosting a new HGTV show, Steal This House.

Cristy Lee is the motorsports host and automotive expert who rose to fame after her appearance in the show “Garage Squad”. She left the show in 2021 due to a conflicting filming schedule with her new show “Celebrity IOU: Joyride”.

Along with her new show, Cristy is also hosting a home renovation show “Steal This House” on HGTV. The show follows Cristy as she guides home buyers and helps them to choose the perfect home for them.
