If you’re a fan of “The Incredible Dr. Pol” or its spin-off “Calling Dr. Pol,” then you might remember Dr. Brenda Grettenberger, one of the key figures alongside Dr. Jan Pol, Charles Pol, and Diane Pol. While she’s well-known for her veterinary expertise on these popular shows, there’s much curiosity about her life off-screen—particularly regarding her personal life and marital status.
Is Dr. Brenda from “Dr. Pol” Married? Who is Her Husband? Any Children?
When it comes to her private life, Dr. Brenda remains an enigma to many fans and followers alike. Despite being a prominent figure on two successful television series where she showcases her veterinary skills, she has managed to keep details about her personal life under wraps effectively—so much so that little is known about whether she is married or has children.
There have been no public announcements or sightings that suggest she’s tied the knot or has a significant other in her life at this time. It seems likely that if there were someone special in her life, they would be fortunate indeed given the kind-hearted nature we see on screen—but as far as anyone knows right now, it appears that Dr. Brenda may be more focused on perfecting her craft as a veterinarian than pursuing romantic relationships.
Her Family Background
Dr. Brenda Grettenberger also keeps information about her family close to the vest; rarely do we see any mention of them in interviews or social media posts—if at all! However, this doesn’t mean she isn’t close with them; quite the opposite actually! Growing up on a family farm instilled in young Brenda both a love for animals and an appreciation for hard work from an early age.
Her upbringing undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping who she is today—a dedicated veterinarian with deep roots in rural farm culture—and perhaps explains why she’s so determined to maintain privacy when it comes to those closest to her.

Dr. Brenda,
I grew up with family pets and a very wide array. The following and live in the city: Dogs large and small, cats, budgies, tropical fish, gerbils, easter gifts of baby chicks, ducks, rabbits and 1 hybrid wolf, mixed with husky, and malamute. I found her at the local dog and cat shelter. We named her Kayla. My son and daughter have dogs to this day, My grandchildren both have the care of them. I do so enjoy watching the show I have even learned a good deal of first aide for small-medium pets and to get them to the family vet. Thank You for helping me to continue learning about how to take care of family pets. I am a retired nurse, Both medical areas are wonderful and I love them both.

You are from Eaton Rapids…the only Eaton Rapids in the world…isn’t that what the sign says at the edge of town? We used to visit family in Eaton Rapids every summer, they raised a few cows and horses. My cousin Debbie used to show (jump) horses, obviously I am a city girl. I don’t know if any of the family is left there since the folks passed but it was a wonderful place to visit while growing up. There isn’t much that can beat growing up in a small town!
What happened to Dr. Elizabeth?
What happened to dr Erin. She did not seem to fit in and she seem to have a lack of interest. I watch the program every chance I get and enjoy it very much even the numerous re runs.
