Daphne and Ian Fig may have finished another season of renovations, but their latest update made one thing clear: the biggest change at the château is still ahead.
The Castle Impossible stars marked the end of Season 2 with a warm Instagram post celebrating the projects they completed, the lessons they learned and the work still waiting for them. Their message ended with a playful reference to their “biggest project yet,” accompanied by baby emojis—and fans immediately flooded the comments with requests for baby photos and a third season.
Daphne and Ian Celebrate a Transformative Season
Season 2 brought several long-awaited spaces to life. The couple highlighted the château’s new library, upgraded powder rooms, Granny’s gatehouse, the tea room, the dungeon event space and the Dove Tower suite.
The accompanying photos offer a closer look at that progress. One image shows the couple and their renovation team smiling outside the grand château, while another captures two members of the group playfully balancing on large wooden barrels.
Other pictures showcase the finished library with dark shelving, patterned walls and rust-colored chairs, as well as the medieval-inspired dungeon space prepared with long wooden tables, candles and rich red curtains. A wide outdoor image also reveals the château’s moat and arched stone bridge.
But it was Daphne’s maternity portrait that drew some of the strongest reactions. Wearing a flowing blue gown and resting her hands on her baby bump, she posed inside the historic property as sunlight filled the room.
Fans Are Waiting for Baby Fig
Daphne and Ian revealed during Season 2 that they were expecting their first child. The finale later confirmed that the couple is having a baby boy, with the château illuminated in blue for the announcement.
Fans responding to the new post congratulated the couple and asked when they might see the first Baby Fig pictures. Several said that watching Daphne and Ian become parents would make a potential third season even more meaningful.
For now, the couple has not publicly announced that their son has arrived or shared newborn photos. That means any claims about the baby’s birth remain unconfirmed.
Viewers Are Already Campaigning for Season 3
The comment section also became an unofficial campaign for more episodes.
Some viewers called the series their “comfort show,” while others said they had already watched both seasons multiple times. The Dove Tower, tea room and Granny’s gatehouse received repeated praise, with one fan saying Granny’s happiness made the episode especially emotional.
Others want Tony to remain part of the show, praising his humor and chemistry with Ian. The woodland bridges also stood out to viewers who hope to see the surrounding gardens transformed into a peaceful place for the couple’s growing family.
Despite the enthusiasm, HGTV has not officially renewed Castle Impossible for Season 3. The network has, however, used the phrase “next season” in a social-media post, giving fans reason to remain hopeful without serving as a formal renewal announcement.
The Château’s Story Is Far From Finished
Daphne and Ian have repeatedly made it clear that the centuries-old property still requires an enormous amount of work. Parenthood now adds a new dimension to that mission, as the couple prepares the château not only for guests and events, but also for the next generation of their family.
