A 500-year-old French château has a brand-new resident — and he may already be stealing the spotlight from the renovations.
Castle Impossible stars Daphne and Ian Figueira have welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Adrian Fig. The HGTV couple announced the happy news on August 26, 2026, sharing the first photos of their son and revealing that they are completely “smitten” with their growing family.
Daphne and Ian Figueira Welcome Baby Adrian
The couple, affectionately known to viewers as “the Figs,” introduced Adrian through a collection of family photos that included sweet newborn moments and maternity images of Daphne.
Daphne and Ian told followers that becoming parents has given love an entirely new meaning. Most importantly, they shared that their son is happy and healthy and thanked everyone who supported them throughout the pregnancy.
One photo even appeared to capture little Adrian giving his parents a tiny wink — an image that quickly became an especially adorable part of the announcement.
The new parents are now adjusting to life with a newborn while continuing the enormous task that made them television favorites in the first place: restoring Chateau de Lesigny in France.
Renovations Aren’t Stopping for Parenthood
Daphne and Ian moved from California to France after inheriting the centuries-old property through Daphne’s maternal grandfather. Their efforts to restore, maintain, and operate the château became the focus of HGTV’s Castle Impossible.
And apparently, baby Adrian won’t be getting them out of renovation duty.
The couple joked in their announcement about needing “baby-sized power tools” because there is still plenty of work remaining around the estate.
Their latest YouTube content has already given viewers a glimpse of this new phase of their lives. Footage showed Daphne and Ian pushing Adrian in a stroller along the château grounds and carrying him through the historic hallways.
In another scene, Daphne held her sleeping newborn while speaking with a local wildlife advocate during work around the surrounding forest.
Clearly, parenthood is becoming part of everyday château life.
Their Baby Journey Played Out on Castle Impossible
Viewers first learned that Daphne and Ian were expecting during the second season of Castle Impossible.
The couple shared the pregnancy news with Daphne’s grandmother and longtime friend and craftsman Anthony Raggett during an episode that aired June 2.
Then, ahead of the Season 2 finale on July 14, HGTV released their memorable gender reveal.
Standing outside the château at night, Daphne and Ian waited as the building was illuminated in blue, confirming they were expecting a son. Ian celebrated the moment by excitedly addressing their unborn baby as the château glowed behind them.
Just weeks later, Adrian has officially arrived.
Their Family — and the Château — Keeps Growing
The Figueiras were already parents to several beloved animals, including their Berger Blanc Suisse, Archaea. Before Adrian’s arrival, Daphne and Ian said they noticed their dog becoming increasingly protective, almost as though she understood that something was changing within the family.
How Archaea is adjusting to the newest member of the household has not yet been publicly detailed.
There is also another unanswered question for Castle Impossible fans: Will there be a third season?
As of the couple’s baby announcement, HGTV has not publicly confirmed a Season 3 renewal. For now, viewers can continue following Daphne and Ian’s life through their online updates while catching previous episodes of the series.
Baby Adrian’s arrival adds an entirely new dimension to their already unusual adventure. Between restoring a historic French estate and learning the rhythms of first-time parenthood, the Figs’ biggest transformation may no longer be happening to the château.
Could baby Adrian become the newest little star of Castle Impossible if the series returns?
