American Pickers’ Former Co-Host Frank Fritz Suffered a Stroke

Frank Fritz was the life of the show American Pickers for a decade until he departed in 2021. This Thursday, he suffered a stroke which left him hospitalized.

As his former co-star, Mike Wolfe writes on his Instagram handle, “now is the time to pray for my friend, please keep him in your hearts and thoughts.” Mike also shared a cheerful picture of his longtime colleague and wrote the caption in a remorseful tone.

Apparently, the two co-stars were in a feud for the last two years. They also exchanged some verbal blows on social media followed by the removal of Frank from the show.

However, the actual reason for Frank’s departure turns out to be his poor health condition, his recent back surgery to be precise. The 59-year-old TV star has always been fragile when it comes to health conditions.

In the 9th season, Frank confessed that he suffered from Crohn’s disease. In 2020, he underwent back surgery and had to place two rods in his spine with 180+ stitches.

And just before his removal from the show, Frank also had to tend to rehabilitation for overcoming his alcohol addiction. Despite all of this, Frank is an amazing personality with a kind demeanor.

The fans love him and even resorted to abusing other co-stars on social handles when the TV host was removed from the show. Even though Frank and Mike have been longtime friends, there has always been this cold war between them which was clear in the last two years.

Frank stated on the media that Mike didn’t call him even though he had just undergone major surgery. Even though this seems cold on Mike’s part, he too told the media that Frank was never nice to him in the last 10 years.

The duo traveled across America to search for antique objects that were either thrown in the trash or sitting without value on the owner’s shelf. In addition to securing these relics, the TV stars also restored them to their pristine collection before selling them for a high price.

Now that things are looking hard for Frank, Mike feels remorseful for his dear friend. He was very quiet all this time with his co-star’s surgeries, removal from the show, and all the questions from the fans.

Mike feels that the bitter past should be set straight at some other time and all attention should be given to Frank’s health condition. The TV star sends his prayers to his co-host and encourages all his fans to do the same.

The last appearance of Frank on American Pickers was in March 2020. We pray for Frank’s good health and really hope to see the duo back in action in the near future.
