Windy City Rehab Presenter, Alison’s IVF Journey: Does She Have Children?
Miss Alsion Victoria, now 41, is still struggling to have children. And even most of her fans do not know that.
As the designer frequently posts adorable pictures with her nieces, the public thought it was her daughter. However, her Facebook post in May last year made everything clear.
With her post, we found that the happy, bubbly host we see on HGTV is actually struggling with infertility and is desperate to have kids. She started her story with “8 rounds.. 5 eggs” and mentioned that the hard truth is that her egg-freezing journey had been lengthy.
According to Alison, she was smart enough to try to freeze her eggs at 28 years old. She consulted the doctors, did all the blood work and ultrasound, and was ready to proceed after having lots of follicles.
But just before he froze her eggs, she met someone, Luke, and stopped the procedure, thinking she would give birth naturally. But destiny had different plans, so they parted ways after 4 years.
So as she was single again and in her 30s, she decided to freeze her eggs once again. But this time, luck didn’t favor her, and the doctors told her that her follicle count was very low. Despite that, she decided to proceed. Alison said,
“I was handed a bag of needles, tons of very expensive meds, and a very short tutorial on how to inject myself.
After doing all that and ultrasounds for almost 2 weeks, she was told she had nothing each time. The star said the worst part was seeing other patients wheeled right after her and hearing they got 40 eggs.
She mentioned being messed up; she mostly skipped lunch and had less than 30,000 dollars in her bank. Alison also said that though she realizes she is not the only woman to go through such, she felt lost with no clue what to do next.
And at present, it has been over 5 years, and the HGTV host is still trying. “Long story short, I’m 41, and I’ve done it all. I’ve tried acupuncture, trial supplements, meditation, and, most importantly, never losing faith,” she mentioned.
Moreover, Alison says that the biggest blessing in her life right now is her doctor Roohi Jeelani who treats her like she is her only patient.
The host also mentioned how the doctor awares her, uplifts her when she is feeling low, and keeps her motivated by telling her that she will very soon get her 10 eggs, ensuring that she will have a family of her own at the right time.
Then the “Windy City Rehab” host stated about not giving up until she embarks on her 10 eggs journey. Finally, she tells her ladies’ fans that it’s not about the number of eggs but the quality that matters.
“To every single woman out there who may not know what their futures look like, who wonders if they want to have kids or not, who wants to take control of their lives and bodies.. Do IT, Freeze em!”
advises Alison Victoria before ending her post.
Her fans seemed very supportive of the post, and most of them prayed for her and asked her to hang in there until she gets her 10 eggs.
