The work of Erin and Ben Napier is far more than just home improvement — it’s a way of paying homage to days past, keeping beautiful history alive in their beloved hometown. The two have been busy with their series Home Town, which is getting ready to begin its seventh season, turning aging residences into refreshed, modern wonders with the help of salvaged items and vintage textiles from Laurel, Mississippi.
However, their zeal for community revitalization went to new lengths in 2021 with the debut of Home Town Takeover, where they renovated the entirety of Wetumpka, Alabama, and we do mean everything — from homes to local eateries and shops to public gathering spaces. Their celeb-connected show had an online orbit that found Sheryl Crow et al joining them to help fix the town in a moment so grand that anticipation is already building for season two, which likely isn’t far off while sitting on a 2023 release. Still, there is more to come from the Napiers as they leave Wetumpka behind. Their next goal is the town of Fort Morgan, Colorado.
