Randy Edwards is a former cast member of the History Channel’s reality show Swamp People. The American reality series that was first broadcasted on August 22, 2010, is in its tenth season now. The show focuses on day to day activities of alligator hunters living in the swamps of the Atchafalaya river basin in Louisiana. The show begins on the first Wednesday of September and lasts for thirty days.
Randy Edwards was featured on the first six seasons of the show alongside his parents, Junior and Theresa and brother Willie. Willie Edwards appears alone on the show now as his parents were laid off during season six.
Randy Edwards was the youngest son of Junior Edwards and Theresa. At the time of his death, he was 35 years old and a resident of Donaldsonville. Not only was he an alligator hunter, but he was also a commercial fisher and a pipefitter.

Unfortunately, Randy Edwards won’t ever be returning to swamp people as he passed on. The star suffered a fatal vehicle accident on Saturday, September 15, 2018, that took away his life.
The authorities said that he was driving in a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and rammed his car into a utility pole around 3.am on LA 75 south of LA 66. his vehicle started to overturn causing him to be ejected.
The police said that he must have been driving under the influence and suspected impairment as the cause of the accident. They collected a toxicology sample from his corpse for analysis.
His family confirmed that he was indeed the man involved in the crash through a Facebook post on Junior and Willie Edward’s fan page on that fateful day. The text that was written by Ronnie, a family friend, read
” It is in deep sadness that I make this post, Junior and Theresa’s son, Willie’s brother, Randy passed away in a vehicle’s accident early this morning. Randy was 35. Please keep Edward’s family in prayers and also please respect their privacy at this moment”.
The first person at the scene of the accident was Nicholas Cazalot, the Bayou Sorrel EMT; Nicholas said that when he arrived, he saw Randy’s vehicle lying upside down. All the four tires up in the air. Nothing could have been done to try and save Randy as he was already dead.
Randy was a family man; he left behind a wife and three children. His obituary was full of praises; it stated that he was an astounding father as well as a loving and caring son. He had an unbreakable bond with his siblings, a brother, and sister. He enjoyed to work, hunt, and fish.

Mitchell Guist was a residence of Gonzales, Louisiana. He suffered an accident while loading his items into his boat. He slipped and fell on Belle River near Pierre Part. Initially, it had been reported that he suffered a stroke, but it was later determined that he suffered a heart attack.
Mitchell was pronounced dead at Morgan City hospital. The Ascension Parish coroner determined natural causes as the cause of his death.
Mitchelle must have been so loved by the cast that they had the voodoo Bayoo episode of History Channels Swamp people that was originally aired in 2012 dedicated in his memory.
