What Really Happened to Gary Muehlberger on Port Protection Alaska (lawless Island)?

Gary was a prominent figure among the cast members of the television show Port Protection, where he showcased extreme survival techniques. This popular reality TV personality had resided in Alaska for over 39 years, thriving in the wilderness and refining his self-sufficiency skills.

His extensive exposure to Alaska’s extremes granted him invaluable experience and expertise, particularly in trapping. Additionally, Muehlberger was seldom seen without his dog or his 100-year-old fishing boat. Gary Muehlberger passed away at the age of 75, indicating a birth year around 1945 or 1946, although the exact date remains unknown.

He was a member of the Port Protection reality TV show from 2015 to 2020, endearing himself to fans and likely amassing a substantial following off-screen due to his esteemed status in the community.

Gary from Port Protection tragically passed away in a house fire. The State Medical Examiner confirmed on March 25, 2021, that Gary died in the blaze that engulfed his home earlier that month. Troopers were alerted to the fire on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, around 11:30 a.m.

There were reports indicating that Gary Muehlberger’s residence had been completely destroyed by the fire. Given that he was not seen after the incident, it was presumed that he was inside the house at the time of the fire. Witnesses in the area reported seeing human remains amidst the ashes.

It is believed that the reality television star was attempting to repair his propane hot water tank when it exploded, causing the fire. Despite having a fire extinguisher, it was insufficient to contain the blaze that ultimately claimed his life.

The remote location of the town and adverse weather conditions hampered the fire department’s response time. Subsequent investigations confirmed Gary’s body was found inside the home and determined the fire to be accidental, with no foul play involved.
