HGTV’s ‘Rock the Block’ Season 4 Home Designed by Jonathan Knight and Kristina Crestin Sells for a Whooping $…

After nine months on the market and multiple price cuts, an ultramodern farmhouse that appeared on Season 4 of HGTV’s “Rock the Block” has been sold for $2.85 million. This five-bedroom home in Berthoud, Colorado was designed by Jonathan Knight and Kristina Crestin, HGTV’s Farmhouse Fixer stars.

The sale of this property will be the third out of the four homes featured in the competition, which is hosted by Ty Pennington, to be received by a buyer. In an episode last spring, four designer duos–each incorporating a different home renovation expert from among themselves, took up “outfitting” the four newly constructed residences, valued respectively at $3.15 million and $3.45m.

Upon completion, a panel of judges evaluated the merits of each property presented and one was selected as the winner based on the highest appraised value. Subsequently, potential buyers expressed their interest in making offers for properties.

Selling points

Knight and Crestin’s home was originally listed in May 2023 as $3,250,000 but has since undergone multiple price cuts. The home boasts 5,811 square feet of total floor area and sea views from its fully furnished interior areas. Impressive cathedral ceilings with exposed beams, window seats that beg to be filled with guests and expanses of glass make the riverside home a clear winner. The view from those windows is McNeil Lake.

The kitchen functioned as the very core of life in this house. A sumptuous curved marble island, custom-built lighting pieces, and a sunny dining area that flowed outside onto the back deck were added as a part of the redesign. On the deck is a built-in grill and smoker, making it perfect for fun summer meals. Designed for an easy indoor-outdoor lifestyle, the “Colorado Room” (named after the state in which it was built) sports a large glass door that can be opened.

The home also has two guest suites and a room with a bunk bed that will be appreciated by children. In entertainment space, the lower level of the house opens out to a bar with a European flavor, four pinball tables, and three billiard rooms.

The sale of the home also included v40,000 for golf at a TPC course. In addition, the development has amenities such as a swimming pool, pool, fitness studio and a golf simulator all at the ready.

3 sold, one still available

But if you do miss the opportunity to acquire one of these professionally designed homes, there is still a chance to have the remaining, which was declared the winner of the “Rock the Block” competition. Together, Michael Smith Boyd and Anthony Elle have given this home a fresh face. The results are now on the market. Since it was originally listed for sale for $3,150,000, that number was later reduced to $2,895,000 last fall.

This fully furnished four-bedroom, 10,000-square-foot estate boasts some of the most luxurious features around. It includes designer wallpaper, a speakeasy, and an outdoor bar.

The 5,820-square-foot house, designed for a “modern mountain” environment, comes with two full kitchens (a primary and an auxiliary) suitable for entertaining sophisticated guests. Last year the house was featured in the 2018 Parade of Homes and drew more than 1,000 visitors, according to listing agent Tamara Sherrill from Re/Max Alliance.

‘It takes a little longer’

The extended sales process of this top-of-the-line, meticulously designed homes speaks to that search for the perfect buyer, Sherrill explained.

“It takes a little longer to find just the right buyer at the $3 million price point. Compared to other seasons of ‘Rock the Block,’ the homes built for Season 4 are not only the most expensive but the largest they have built in the history of the show,” she dished.
