In 1994 he moved to Los Angeles to look for greener pastures. He had his first-ever television spot on the MTV comedy show, Half Hour Comedy Hour. Due to his stellar performance, the station gave him a three-year exclusive contract and a role in a pilot episode of “a dopey game show” for $500.

Joe Rogan declined the offer, which was lucrative then. His manager Sussman began to send Joe’s performances to several networks. The response was overwhelming, as most of the networks were bidding for him. After scrutinizing the deals, he accepted a deal with the Disney network.

In 1994, he relocated to Los Angeles for better career opportunities and consequently was offered a spot in the MTV show “Half-Hour Comedy Hour,” but his first significant acting role was Fox sitcom “Hardball,” and he later starred in NBC sitcom NewsRadio for four years starting from 1995.

Dana White offered him a job in 2000 as a commentator of UFC alongside Mike Goldberg only stopping at the end of 2016.

In 1997 Joe Rogan went on to become an interviewer and color commentator for the UFC.
