HGTV stars Jeremiah Brent and Nate Berkus are known for their unwavering support of each other, both personally and professionally.
During a December 10 appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, Brent opened up about joining Queer Eye for its upcoming ninth season and shared the heartfelt encouragement he received from his husband.
“Nate was super sweet,” Brent said of his partner of 10 years. “He told me, ‘This show is exactly what you should be doing. It’s about great people, the right things, and it’s happening at the perfect time.’ He’s always my biggest supporter.”
Jeremiah Brent joined Queer Eye stars Karamo Brown, Tan France, Antoni Porowski, and Jonathan Van Ness for the show’s ninth season, where the Fab Five traveled to Las Vegas to transform the lives of 10 individuals in the area. Brent stepped in as the group’s new design expert, succeeding Bobby Berk, who departed at the end of Season 8.
All episodes of Queer Eye Season 9 are now streaming on Netflix.
Jeremiah Brent’s ‘Queer Eye’ Co-Stars Sing His Praises
Nate Berkus wasn’t the only one cheering Jeremiah Brent on as he joined Queer Eye. Brent’s co-stars joined him on the Watch What Happens Live After Show, where they shared their excitement about his addition to the Fab Five for Season 9.
“I think it’s one of the best seasons we’ve ever done. The energy is amazing, the heroes are exceptional,” Karamo Brown said. “Jeremiah brings a new passion, a new spark. I mean, you’ll see so much joy in this season.”
Tan France echoed the sentiment, saying, “It’s my favorite season yet. I think he’s incredible in it,” to which Brent humbly corrected, “We are incredible.”
Reflecting on the experience, Brent shared, “This is one of the few things I’ve participated in that’s actually real. You watch people walk into new versions of themselves, and you get to be part of it. And to watch my friends show love through what they do—it was the most unique thing I’ve ever been a part of.”
Jeremiah Brent Reflects on ‘Queer Eye’ Filming Experience
On December 12, premiere day for Queer Eye Season 9, Jeremiah Brent reflected on his journey with the show in a heartfelt Instagram post, sharing a photo of the “Fab Five.”
“I truly believe you can’t ask someone to give anything you’re not willing to offer yourself,” Brent wrote. “Asking people to share their most vulnerable parts means giving them all of me in return. This journey pushed me to fully embrace parts of myself that I hadn’t before.”
He continued,
“Connection will always be at the heart of design for me. I’ll carry the people I had the privilege of meeting and working with during Season 9 with me forever. I’m filled with immense gratitude—thank you to these four for welcoming me into their lives with such trust and warmth. I can’t wait for you all to see what we’ve created together. Season 9 is out now!”
