For months, HGTV fans have been buzzing with one burning question: Is Jenny Todryk’s hit series “No Demo Reno” officially over? Social media threads, fan pages, and comment sections have all been flooded with speculation. Now, Jenny herself is finally breaking the silence—and her answer is more layered than fans might have expected.
On the September 4 episode of her podcast You, Me & Mike, Jenny and her husband Mike Todryk addressed the rumors head-on. Within the first moments of the show, Jenny leaned into the conversation, confessing,
“I had a show on HGTV.. well… HAVE a show on HGTV called ‘No Demo Reno.’”
But then, as if teasing her audience, she and Mike left listeners hanging before returning to the subject several minutes later. When Mike circled back with the fan-favorite question, “Probably the most asked question I have – ‘is No Demo Reno over? Did you get canceled?’” Jenny couldn’t resist adding some drama.

Her playful but firm response was:
“Did I get canceled? Did. I. Get. Canceled? Did I get cancelled?”
With crossed eyes and a stare into the camera, she paused before delivering the verdict:
“No, I did not get cancelled. The show, ‘No Demo Reno,’ did not get cancelled. That is 100% the biggest DM I get, I can’t even go on Amazon Live without getting comments and I feel so bad because I haven’t been in a place to answer it or talk about it.”
Once she finally decided it was time to open up, Jenny pulled back the curtain on what had been happening behind the scenes.
“So, HGTV asked for a fourth season, which is awesome, and I’m so grateful for that opportunity and the opportunity I had for all three seasons. So Discovery owned HGTV and I went back and forth with someone with Discovery about how we could still do ‘No Demo Reno’ but make it a little more feasible for my life and the schedule. Because I always told myself I would give myself three seasons, I’m gonna do three seasons and we’ll kind of assess it from there.”
For Jenny, the show has been more than just television. She admitted her love for the process itself:
“I love it, I love TV. I love making TV. It’s super fun. It doesn’t feel like work. And I think it’s something I’m naturally good at. I don’t get nervous. I love all the technical stuff behind the scenes.. that’s why I became an executive producer and I want to be involved in everything.”
Why the Pause Happened

That’s when Mike posed the obvious question fans had been dying to hear: “OK, if you love it so much, why is it gone? Is it gone?”
Jenny’s answer surprised many:
“No, I’m on a pause. I told you that. I’m just pausing.”
The reality is, Jenny had been in discussions with HGTV and Discovery for months, trying to find a middle ground where she could scale back without walking away completely.
As she explained:
“I was talking with them for probably four months about how can we still do this show, ‘No Demo Reno’ but how can I basically off-load some of the responsibility onto a team or more people to where it can still live on but I can take a step back?”
But in the end, that wasn’t possible.
“Ultimately, it just came, which I always knew but just finally faced it and accepted it, which is, I’m either all-in where I have my hands on everything and I’m an executive producer… I basically had to come to the realization that I’m either all-in and I’m over everything or I don’t do it.”
With that realization, Jenny made the tough decision to tell her HGTV handler that she needed to pause the show. Fortunately, the network responded with understanding rather than frustration.
“She took it really well. She was like, ‘we’re obviously devastated, like it’s not what we want, but we understand. The door’s always open.’ That’s where we left it.”
Jenny even made sure the network knew she didn’t want constant check-ins while she figured out her next steps.
“You don’t need to reach out to me. I know where to find y’all. I just said it very nicely because I didn’t want it to be a thing where it’s brought up every month.”
What’s Next for Jenny Todryk?
So, is “No Demo Reno” over forever? The answer is no. Jenny’s words make it clear: she’s not shutting the door, just stepping back until she feels ready to dive in again. Fans who feared cancellation can breathe a little easier—because in Jenny’s own words, this is simply a pause.
And with the network’s door still wide open, the comeback possibility remains alive.
For now, Jenny seems to be embracing balance—focusing on family, her podcast, and perhaps preparing for whatever new opportunity might come next.
