In a January 2025 interview with TV Insider, Dave Marrs, joined by his wife Jenny, shared that they tackled “some great projects” for the new season of Fixer to Fabulous, which premiered on January 7.
Jenny added that they initially aimed to avoid taking on too many massive projects in 2024. However, the tornadoes that struck Bentonville prompted them to reconsider their approach.
Jenny Marrs recounted to TV Insider the devastating impact of the tornadoes that struck their town:
“We had 12 tornadoes hit our town in one night. It affected so many families in our community, and as a result, many of our projects shifted.”
She explained,
“We had just started a remodel, completed the walk-through, and were ready to begin when a tornado hit. What was originally going to be a kitchen, living room, and bedroom renovation turned into a complete overhaul, taking the house down to the studs.
There was a hole in the roof and a tree through it. That was just one of several homes impacted by the tornadoes. The storms really changed the scale of projects for us this season.”
Jenny also emphasized the community’s resilience:
“As a community, we stepped up and cared for one another. In the days and weeks following the storms, we were out helping families clean up and recover from the destruction. For us, it wasn’t even a question. Of course, we were going to help in any way we could to get these families back into their homes.”
Jenny Marrs Shared How She & Her Children Were Affected
In an interview with TV Insider, Jenny Marrs opened up about the emotional toll the tornadoes took on her family, including her husband, Dave, and their children—Nathan, Ben, Charlotte, Sylvie, and Luke. While their home sustained some damage, she expressed gratitude that it “wasn’t destroyed.”
Jenny revealed that the experience motivated her and Dave to provide more than just structural repairs for affected families.
“Having seen how frightening tornadoes are for children, we really wanted to go above and beyond, especially for the kids,” she shared.
“One family we helped had three little girls who lost everything. We didn’t just want to rebuild their house—we wanted to create something joyful and uplifting, a space that would help replace the fear and bad memories with hope and happiness. It was about restoring their hearts as much as their home.”
Jenny also reflected on the aftermath in a heartfelt Instagram post from May 2024.
“The tornadoes and wind that shook our community took away homes, businesses, trees, power, and even lives,” she wrote. “Yet, through all that loss, our community grew stronger.”
Her words captured the resilience and unity of a town determined to rebuild together.
Jenny & Dave Marrs Are Opening a Retail Store
In a January 2025 interview with TV Insider, Jenny Marrs revealed exciting plans for the spring, announcing that she and Dave Marrs are “opening another retail location in downtown Bentonville.”
“We’re thrilled to showcase local artisans we’ve collaborated with, alongside unique global pieces we’ve discovered during our travels. It’s going to be a bit like a treasure hunt—a place full of surprises and special finds,” Jenny shared. “It’ll also give us one more exciting thing to manage.”
Dave Marrs had previously confirmed the new shop, Marrs on Main, during a December 2024 interview with 5News. While acknowledging that there was still work to be done, he expressed optimism about the project’s progress. “We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, but we’re here and moving forward,” he said.
