On January 16, Marrs took to Instagram to celebrate a milestone in her daughter’s life—her 13th birthday.
“A teenager! It feels almost impossible to believe that my once-squishy toddler, with her raspy voice and charming accent, now stands before me as this remarkable young lady. How quickly the years have flown—it’s almost too much for this momma’s heart to take,” Marrs expressed in the caption, which was paired with a heartfelt series of photos.
Reflecting on the journey of welcoming her daughter into the family, Marrs continued, “The years of praying and longing for you to join our family feel like both an eternity and just a fleeting moment ago.”
She added, “God had a perfect plan when He brought you into our lives. He knew our family would never feel complete without you, and He knew the world would benefit from your brilliant, radiant light. Your unwavering faith, incredible strength, resilience, and courage will take you far in life. Keep smiling, and never stop shining that beautiful light of yours. 🕯️”
She added, “I can’t wait to see where this next year takes you. I have a feeling it’s going to be a really good one! Happiest of birthdays, my Sylvie-girl! 🎈🤍

Why the Kids Aren’t in the Newest ‘Fixer to Fabulous’ Season as Much
In a January 2025 interview with TV Insider, Jenny Marrs and her husband, Dave, shared insights about what fans can expect in the latest season of their HGTV series, Fixer to Fabulous.
One significant change this season involves a noticeable shift in how much their children—Nathan, Ben, Sylvie, Charlotte, and Luke—will appear on the show.
Jenny explained that as their older children grow up, they’ve naturally begun to distance themselves from the spotlight.
“As the big kids get older, they’re becoming much more camera-shy than they were in earlier seasons,” she revealed.
“This has been building for some time, but this year especially, they’re really not interested in being on camera, particularly after long school days.”
Expanding on the matter, Jenny emphasized that they’ve always prioritized their children’s comfort and autonomy when it comes to filming.
“I think this season viewers will notice that the older kids won’t be participating as much—if at all,” she said.
“We’ve always given them the choice to be part of the show, and we’ll never push them to do something they’re not comfortable with. It’s entirely their decision.”
Jenny also highlighted how their family’s evolving needs have influenced their approach to filming this season.
“We’ve intentionally scaled back this year because of the kids’ busy schedules and the fact that they’re growing up so quickly,” she explained.
“It was important for us to create more room in our calendars to focus on them and their activities.”
This thoughtful adjustment underscores the Marrs’ dedication to balancing their careers with the well-being of their family, offering fans a glimpse into the challenges of managing life on and off camera.
