Heather Rae Young gave birth to a baby boy with her husband, Tarek El Moussa, on 31st January 2023.
The adorable couple had captivated their fans with their pregnancy journey, but it appears that their social media will soon be filled with cute photos of their newborn baby.
The recent parents announced the birth of their child after 5 days but only introduced him to the public on 15th February 2023 via Heather’s Instagram.
The Instagram post featured an adorable picture of Heather holding their newborn while Tarek was seen smiling beside them. In the sequence picture, the couple kissed their newborn son in their arms.
Beside the picture was a lengthy caption revealing their son’s name as Tristan Jay El Moussa. Interestingly, the baby’s name is significant to the couple, as Tristan was initially intended to be Tarek’s own name. Meanwhile, Jay is also the middle name of Heather’s father.
After introducing their new bundle of joy, Heather then opened up about her scary experience with birth.
The Tv star started by saying that she was 4 days past the due date, and at their final doctor’s appointment, they were asked to rush to the hospital after finding that the baby’s movement had slowed.
She also informed her fans that her cervix was not soft enough and water breaking was affected due to the presence of scar tissue from a biopsy she had many years ago. Thus, after attending the hospital, she was given half a dose of Cytotec to soften her cervix and a cervical balloon to dilute her.
After that, she began to dilate; it was 4 at the beginning, then 6 and finally, after a couple of hours, her water broke, making her ready to push. But, as things were supposed to go well, things worsened since the baby’s heart rate dropped with each push, worrying Tarek and Heather.
“My doctor told me that we had to get him out right away. I had 4 more pushes and to give it my all & she was going to use a vacuum to help get him out fast, or otherwise we would have to do an emergency C-section,” said the new mother.
Tarek, her husband, remained by her side the entire time, holding her hand. So she kept pushing, and this time she pushed so hard that she thought the blood vessels in her face and chest were breaking. Afterwards, she heard her husband yell, “I see his head, push, push, push.” And with the final push, their baby boy was finally out.
With the baby’s arrival, Heather said she was emotional and drained but was thankful to everyone at the hospital. Likewise, the mother stated though it was scary, the experience was beautiful, and she was already in love
Lastly, Heather concluded the post by noting that she and her husband were in their own little bubble and were thrilled to share their baby and his birth story with the rest of the world.
Baby Tristen is the third child of Tarek El Moussa and the first of Heather. Tarek was previously married to Christina Hall in 2009, and they have a daughter, Taylor El Moussa and a son Brayden El Moussa. However, they separated in 2018.
Likewise, Tarek and Heather got married in 2021. And at present, they are all ready to host a home renovation show, “The Flipping El Moussaa.” together. It will be premiering on HGTV on 6th March 2023.
