GRASS IS GREENER Monty Don makes major career announcement away from Gardeners’ World – but fans aren’t impressed

Monty Don has just dropped a major career update, but not all fans are thrilled.

The beloved TV gardener, a fixture on our screens for years through his iconic role on BBC’s Gardeners’ World, has announced a surprising change.

Fans eagerly tune in each week to catch Monty Don’s latest gardening tips and tricks, hoping to bring a touch of his stunningly extensive gardens into their own homes.

Now, the beloved TV gardener is set for an exciting career shift that will bring him even closer to his fans. Monty is embarking on a nationwide tour, offering the opportunity to share his gardening wisdom in person.

Adding to the excitement, he will be making a special appearance at the prestigious Kew Gardens, making this tour a must-attend event for all gardening enthusiasts.

Monty Don recently shared an exciting update with his fans via an Instagram video, announcing his upcoming appearances. He revealed, “I will be appearing at Kew to talk about the garden I’ve cultivated over the past 30 years, along with the many gardens I’ve visited around the world.”

In addition to his Kew Gardens appearance, Monty will embark on a month-long tour in November, visiting towns and cities across the UK and Ireland. “Join me then, and I hope to see you there!” he added enthusiastically.

Monty will make stops at 20 venues during this tour. However, not all fans are thrilled; some have expressed disappointment over certain locations being excluded from the list. Despite this, the tour promises to be a unique opportunity for many to connect with the gardening icon in person.

Many fans were left disappointed to learn that Monty Don will be appearing at only one venue each in Scotland and Ireland, while major North East cities like Newcastle and Sunderland have seemingly been overlooked.

Expressing their frustration under his post, one disgruntled fan commented, “‘ALL across the UK and Ireland’??? Just one event in Ireland and one in Scotland!! Hardly a fair balance ‘across’ all the countries.” This sentiment was echoed by others who felt the tour’s limited stops did not truly reflect a nationwide reach.

Another added, “Why aren’t you coming to Newcastle, like, pet?”

A third queried, “Do you have any more dates planned in the North? Newcastle or Sunderland would be great.”

Meanwhile, someone else expressed their shock that tickets for the only Irish date had already sold out, leaving many fans disappointed and clamoring for additional dates in their regions.

They expressed their disappointment by saying, “Dublin already sold out! Might you come back and do another date in Dublin?”

Another frustrated fan pointed out, “None in N. Ireland!”

Despite the backlash, Monty Don received some celebrity support from an unlikely source. Reality TV star Gemma Collins commented on the post, saying, “CANT wait,” indicating that she had managed to snag tickets.
