Port Charles is about to get a jolt of fresh energy — and it’s coming from a familiar face who rarely pops in without a reason.
In the new General Hospital preview for Monday, Jan. 26, Brick (Stephen A. Smith) makes a surprise return and immediately puts Jordan (Tanisha Harper) on the spot with a request that feels equal parts charming… and calculated. And just when the moment starts to heat up, Curtis (Donnell Turner) walks in — because of course he does.
If you love your soap drama served with a side of awkward timing, this one looks like it’s going to hit.

Brick Returns on General Hospital with a big request
What just happened in Port Charles?
The latest episode set the stage for several storylines to collide at once — with worry, hallucinations, and tension all bubbling under the surface.
Emma (Braedyn Bruner) found herself increasingly unsettled about her grandmother. She reached out to Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and laid out what’s been bothering her: Anna (Finola Hughes) has gone quiet in a way that doesn’t feel normal. Emma’s used to check-ins, updates — something. But lately, it’s been nothing. And it’s not just Emma who’s feeling it; Anna’s silence seems to be worrying more than one person in her orbit.
Meanwhile, Anna remained trapped in a frightening spiral as the drugs in her system continued to distort reality. This time, her hallucinations brought Peter August (Wes Ramsey) back into her line of sight — a haunting reminder of how deeply her past still claws at her, especially when she’s vulnerable and isolated.
Over at the hospital, the tension between Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Carly (Laura Wright) escalated again — and Britt didn’t exactly hide what she wanted. When Britt pushed for a confrontation, Jason (Steve Burton) stepped in to stop things from exploding. But Britt wasn’t looking for peace. She made it personal, forcing Jason into an emotional corner with a blunt ultimatum: choose her, or choose Carly.
Later, Britt’s focus shifted from personal drama to something much more dangerous. She spotted Director Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) talking with Rocco (Finn Carr) and quickly made it known she was ready to move forward with what he asked — including heading to Spoon Island.
And Spoon Island? It wasn’t exactly quiet, either.
Joss (Eden McCoy) showed up there with an agenda, trying to snoop around the moment she got a second alone. But she didn’t stay unnoticed for long. Ava (Maura West) caught her in the act and demanded to know what was really going on — because Joss doesn’t just wander into Ava’s territory unless she’s chasing something.
Monday’s bombshell: Brick is back — and Jordan is his target
According to the new preview, Jordan walks into the Metro Court and freezes when she sees Brick sitting there like he owns the place. She’s clearly surprised — and Brick, in true Brick fashion, is smooth about it.
Jordan points out it’s been a long time. Brick agrees… and claims that’s exactly why he decided to show up in person.
But Jordan isn’t the type to accept a sweet explanation without side-eye. She questions whether she’s supposed to believe he was just sitting there hoping she’d walk in.
Brick doesn’t even blink. He quickly reveals the practical truth: he’s actually there to meet Carly. And that earns Jordan’s “okay, that makes sense” reaction — because Brick and Carly usually means business is in motion, and Sonny’s orbit is never far behind.
Still, Brick doesn’t stop there.
He adds that he knows Jordan likes the Metro Court, so he figured she might appear… and look at that, she did. Brick frames it like a little bit of fate, a little bit of manifestation — and Jordan immediately shuts that down as coincidence.
Brick shrugs it off. Coincidence or not, he makes it clear he’s not interested in letting time pass without taking a shot.
And that’s when he drops the real “big request” of the scene: he asks Jordan out to dinner. Not later, not vaguely — but directly, confidently, like he’s already decided she should say yes.
Even more interesting? Brick suggests she could bring along her doctor friend, Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) — almost like he’s testing the temperature of Jordan’s love life before he commits to pushing forward.
Jordan clears the air — and Curtis walks into the tension
Jordan responds with the kind of honesty that changes the vibe fast: she and Isaiah aren’t seeing each other anymore. Brick’s reaction says it all — he seems to think that makes his odds even better.
And just as Brick starts leaning into the opening… Curtis walks in.
Curtis immediately clocks the situation and asks Jordan who her “friend” is. It’s the kind of interruption that can go a dozen different ways: polite introductions, hidden jealousy, old feelings resurfacing, or a public moment that puts Jordan in a position she didn’t ask for.
Either way, the timing is loud — and it’s hard not to wonder if this is the start of a brand-new triangle, or the setup for something bigger involving Carly and whatever Brick is really doing back in town.
Also coming Monday…
The episode is teasing several other moving pieces, too: Sonny manipulates Ava, Jason voices concern for Britt, and Joss turns to an unexpected source for help — all signs that Monday’s hour won’t stay contained to just one storyline.
So now the big question: Is Brick genuinely interested in Jordan… or is this “date request” part of a larger play?
And be honest — would you ship Brick and Jordan?
