Jenny Marrs recently shared that she is coping with a “highly painful” injury that affects her work on HGTV’s Fixer to Fabulous. Fortunately, her husband, Dave, has been by her side to provide support and assistance!

In a heartfelt and humorous Instagram post on January 21, Jenny Marrs gave fans a glimpse behind the scenes of the latest Fixer to Fabulous episode.

The clip featured her husband, Dave, maneuvering a heavy planter into position using a tractor. However, Jenny, ever the perfectionist, wasn’t entirely satisfied with the placement and asked him to adjust it multiple times to find the perfect spot.

Dave explained the unexpected challenge, saying,

“We didn’t realize … I built it, and it was not bad, 150 pounds. Then I filled it with 400 pounds of dirt.” He quipped, “I thought moving it in here with the tractor would eliminate all the physical labor. Then I remembered I’m married to Jenny Marrs and had to move it 47 more times.”

In the caption, Jenny revealed why she couldn’t handle the task herself.

“In my defense, I’m a visual person. I think I like something, but I have to see it. Then, I realize I don’t. 🤪 And, I have a herniated disc (highly painful — I do not recommend), so I can’t lift the planter,” she wrote. “So, yes, Dave may have had to ‘scootch’ it a few times.”

Jenny also teased an exciting new development on the show, writing,

“Tonight!! Another family member moves to town, you guys! I can’t wait for you to see this one ♥️♥️♥️ #fixertofabulous on @hgtv at 8/7c.”

The playful dynamic between Jenny and Dave, paired with her candid update, underscores the charm that makes Fixer to Fabulous such a fan favorite.

Jenny Marrs’ Instagram post about her herniated disc struck a chord with many fans, prompting them to share their own experiences and words of encouragement.

One fan empathized, writing, “I can relate. Herniated disc that led to surgery. The good news is no issues after; surgery worked.” Jenny responded gratefully, “Oh good to know! I’m really trying to avoid surgery, but this is a helpful perspective!”

Another commenter shared their story:

“Me too and fused spine. Game changer. Looking forward to tonight!😍” Others offered personal anecdotes, including one fan who said, “I am a very visual person as well. I had surgery in October for my herniated disc, and I’m glad I did—it has helped a lot. Healing powers to you.”

Adding a bit of levity, one fan joked, “Nice crisp Italian Pinot Grigio should help with your back 😀,” to which Jenny cheerfully replied, “That’s what I always say! 😆🥂🥂”

The conversation also turned to Jenny’s well-known need to visualize everything. Fans chimed in with relatable stories, such as one who noted, “In your defense … Dave knows you’re a visual person 😆.” Jenny humorously replied, “He’s been moving furniture around for 20 years 😂😂”

Another fan reminisced about their own struggles, sharing, “Once my husband moved a sectional couch like ten times, and then it went back to the original arrangement!😅” Jenny laughed in solidarity, revealing, “Ohhhh that’s happened many times here. 👊😆”

The exchange showcased Jenny’s genuine connection with her fans, blending heartfelt camaraderie with her trademark humor, making her not just a TV star, but a relatable voice for many.
