Dave and Jenny Marrs from Fixer to Fabulous are shifting their focus from home renovations to farming as they get ready to open the Marrs Berry Farm for the season.
This year, they are making some changes to give even more fans the chance to visit the farm, and it’s all for a good cause.
Long before they became HGTV stars, Dave and Jenny planted the blueberry farm with a mission in mind — to help orphaned children in Zimbabwe.
Now, the Marrs Berry Farm is celebrating its tenth anniversary. To kick off the season, Dave and Jenny planned a special dinner where a few lucky fans can join them.
They hosted a raffle for two tickets to the event, which will take place on Thursday, May 1, at their farm in Bentonville, Arkansas. Fans could enter the raffle by paying a $10 entry fee for a chance to win two seats at the outdoor dinner, enjoying a meal with Dave and Jenny under the party lights at the picnic tables.
The Berry Farm Raises Money to Help Orphans in Zimbabwe
The Marrs family didn’t just dream of building a farm — they planted it with a bigger purpose in mind: to raise money for Help One Now, a charity focused on helping vulnerable children in Zimbabwe.
On April 20, Jenny Marrs took a moment to reflect on that journey. She posted photos on Instagram from the very first day they planted the fields, surrounded by family and friends.
“Ten years ago today!” Jenny wrote in her caption. “Our friends and family gathered with us to plant the fields here at the farm. We worked hard and laughed a lot. (Our kids were so little! Time flies!!)”
The farm’s heart has always been about more than just berries. On the farm’s website, Dave Marrs explained why they chose to plant blueberries in particular. He shared that blueberries are a lasting crop — if you care for them properly, they will produce fruit for decades.
That long-term vision mirrors the commitment Dave and Jenny have for the children they support. As Dave put it, they aren’t trying to fix deep-rooted issues like poverty with quick solutions. Their goal is to make a lasting difference — to plant seeds of truth, love, and hope that will grow into something eternal.
Dave & Jenny Marrs Change Things Up to Welcome More Visitors
For the past few years, the Marrs Berry Farm has only opened for a single day each summer, hosting their popular “Berry Fest.” But this season, Dave and Jenny Marrs are doing things differently.
In a recent Instagram post, they shared their excitement about getting back to their original plan. Instead of a one-day event, they’re reopening the farm for a full picking season — just like they used to.
Visitors will now have the chance to come out and pick their own fresh blueberries. The Marrs explained that their berries usually ripen around mid-June, and the picking season should stretch into early July.
During that time, the farm will be open two to three days each week, giving more fans the chance to walk the fields, fill their buckets, and be part of the mission that the farm supports. All proceeds continue to help their charity efforts through Help One Now.
They’ll announce the exact opening dates a little closer to mid-June, once they see when the blueberries hit their peak.

On Thursday, May 1, Dave and Jenny Marrs will officially kick off the berry season with their annual “Berry Bloom Dinner” at the Marrs Berry Farm. The event serves as a fundraiser for Help One Now, the charity their farm proudly supports.
While a few lucky fans scored seats through a raffle, most of the guests at the dinner will have made a minimum donation of $5,000 to attend.
Ahead of the event, Jenny shared a sneak peek at the menu. Guests will start with a balsamic blueberry salad, paired with rustic rosemary bread.
For the main course, they’ll have their choice between crab and lobster ravioli, classic spaghetti and meatballs, or wood-fired pizza.
To finish off the evening, dessert will be a lemon tart topped with white chocolate — a sweet ending to a night built around good food and a great cause.
Help One Now is a Cause Near and Dear to Dave and Jenny’s Hearts

In mid-April, Jenny Marrs shared a video of her and Dave sitting down for a conversation with John and Orpah Chinyowa, the couple who lead Help One Now‘s work in Zimbabwe.
In her caption, Jenny reflected on how far their journey has come. She remembered the day years ago when they gathered around Pastor John and Orpah’s dining table in a small village in rural Zimbabwe, praying together for the orphaned children under their care.
They prayed for a way to break the cycle of extreme poverty, especially for the teenagers who would soon age out of the system and risk life back on the streets. Jenny shared that it was at that table where Pastor John spoke about his dream: building a vocational training school for these kids. They prayed for God to open a path forward.
Today, that dream is very much alive. Jenny wrote that as they prepare for the upcoming berry season in Northwest Arkansas, the proceeds from the farm will continue to help fund the very school Pastor John once dreamed of.
“This June,” Jenny added, “we will welcome you all to the farm once again to enjoy the fields and the sunshine and to be part of something bigger: caring well for our global neighbors.”
Last year, John and Orpah traveled to the U.S. and even attended the Berry Bloom Dinner — a reminder of how connected the farm’s work and their mission truly are.
