Christina Hall hints she is Leaving the Country After Lawyer Accused of Submitting False Court Statements

Just two days after her estranged husband, Josh Hall, accused her legal team of submitting “false statements” in their ongoing divorce case, HGTV star Christina Hall (formerly Haack) shared a cryptic update with her fans, revealing that she had left the country.

On October 16, 2024, Josh Hall took to his Instagram Stories to publicly accuse Christina’s lawyer, California-based attorney Matthew S. DeArmey, of filing a new court document filled with “lies” about him.

In his post, Josh expressed frustration over what he claimed were false allegations made by Christina’s legal team. Among the accusations was a claim that Josh had requested an exorbitant amount of $65,000 per month in spousal support, which Josh and his representatives strongly denied.

In a statement to *Us Weekly*, a spokesperson for Josh Hall echoed his sentiments, accusing Christina’s team of attempting to tarnish Josh’s reputation. They emphasized that Christina’s legal team was “desperate to smear Josh,” suggesting that the claims were part of a larger strategy to discredit him in the public eye.

As tensions between the former couple continue to escalate, Christina’s cryptic post about leaving the country added an air of mystery to the unfolding legal battle.

The “Christina on the Coast” star did not provide further details about her whereabouts or the reason for her sudden departure, leaving fans and followers speculating about the situation.

In the early hours of October 18, Christina Hall shared a photo on her Instagram Stories featuring a fruit bowl and a glass of champagne in front of her.

She tagged PS, the exclusive luxury lounge at LAX where celebrities relax in private suites before their flights. Accompanying the image, she simply wrote “Bye,” along with two emojis—an American flag and an airplane.

While she didn’t immediately disclose her destination, Christina later shared another Instagram Story from Italy, revealing where she had traveled.

Christina and her estranged husband, Josh Hall, filed for divorce on July 15 after nearly three years of marriage.

However, their efforts to reach a financial settlement and finalize the divorce have been filled with public drama. The ongoing disputes between the two have included heated exchanges, such as the latest accusations and comments aired in the media.

Josh Hall Accuses Christina Hall’s Attorney of Making ‘False Statements’

Since their split in early July, Christina and Josh Hall have been living apart. According to a court order filed on September 4, obtained by *Heavy*, the two reached a temporary agreement regarding their living arrangements.

The agreement granted Christina and her three children exclusive use of their home in Newport Beach, California, as well as an apartment in Nashville. Meanwhile, Josh was permitted to stay at the Tennessee farmhouse Christina purchased in 2021, frequently featured on HGTV’s *Christina in the Country*, as long as it wasn’t being rented out.

Christina had bought the six-bedroom farmhouse just outside Nashville before meeting Josh. On October 5, she listed the property for $4.5 million.

In her Instagram Stories, when sharing the real estate update, she also directed harsh comments at Josh, telling him it was time to leave and referring to him as a “gold digging little biatch.”

On October 10, *Heavy* reviewed court documents in which Josh requested a judge block the sale of the Tennessee home, arguing that he was entitled to a share of the profits since he contributed to the mortgage and upkeep during their marriage.

In response, Christina’s lawyer, Matthew S. DeArmey, filed a sharp rebuttal, per *Us Weekly*, claiming that Josh had made a “good faith settlement offer” requesting $65,000 per month in spousal support. DeArmey called the request “outrageous” given that Josh is “self-supporting,” and pointed out that Josh had recently paid off a $70,000 lease on a Bentley.

On October 15, Josh’s lawyer issued a statement to *Us Weekly*, denying the $65,000 spousal support request and criticizing Christina’s legal team for trying to smear Josh with false claims.

The statement read, “It’s sad that Christina’s team is so desperate to smear Josh that they can’t even make up logical lies. Josh continues to pray for Christina and hopes to resolve this matter privately.”

Josh later took to Instagram on October 16 to share his frustrations, writing in a story, “So now @dearmeylaw files legal declarations riddled with lies and assumptions… interesting tactic for someone who is a licensed attorney and took an oath of integrity. Pretty sure making provably false statements to a judge is unethical.”
