Chip and Joanna Gaines are television personalities and restaurateurs.
They launched their career with the advent of Fixer Upper, a tv show that initially ran on the HGTV network. Not content with just television, the couple decided to try their hand at business.
They set up the Magnolia Company, a business that revolutionized the Waco area. Within the Magnolia, Company was a series of small businesses.
These ranged from performance spaces, bakeries, coffee shops, and even a restaurant. Let’s explore some facts about Chip and Joanna Gaines’ restaurants, their menus, and prices.
The Magnolia Table
Chip and Joanna Gaines set up the Magnolia Table in 2018 in Waco, Texas. The establishment is a sit-down restaurant that typically offers breakfast and lunch services.
The couple chose a unique location for their new restaurant- a historic building that once housed the Elite Café, an establishment that dates to 1919.
While most customers can reserve tables online, they still must contend with a substantial wait time.
For instance, if you wanted to have lunch at 1 pm, you’d have to show up at 11 am.
To cope with the long wait time, Chip and Joanna set up various amenities to keep guests comfortable. For instance, there is the presence of a water station, which comes in handy during hot summer days. In addition to this, guests could also snack on various pastries and coffee while they wait.
Examining the menu, we found that the restaurant has several simple yet delicious options on offer. For breakfast, guests can order standard meals such as pancakes, tacos filled with hash browns, thick-cut bacon & eggs, oatmeal, French & avocado toast.
You could even order drinks like the flavourful pumpkin-spice latte, which goes particularly well with oat milk to go with these breakfast meals.
Furthermore, you can also get Jo’s classic buttermilk biscuits and English muffins, which go very well with eggs.
The Magnolia table’s lunch menu is equally impressive.
On offer are delicious dishes like a tossed salad, classic burgers, roast chicken & asparagus, chili, and turkey sandwiches. Customers can get several pastries for dessert: a chocolate & butter croissant, blueberry muffin, or a chocolate chip muffin.
These pastries typically come in a basket which costs about $10.
The Magnolia table gives its customers excellent value for money compared to other establishments. Most people spend an average of $35 per head when dining at a restaurant.
The restaurant usually runs from 7:30 am to 3 pm, from Monday to Saturday.
We should, however, point out that Saturdays at the Magnolia Table can get quite hectic, with wait times reaching 4 hours.
Magnolia Press Coffee Company
This is another establishment that Chip and Joanna Gaines opened in their hometown in 2019.
The comfortable shop can be found at the Silos, within an old building that can be likened to an old library.
Unlike the Magnolia Table, customers do not have to wait for hours on end to be seated.
The restaurant runs from Monday to Saturday, operating from 7 am to 6 pm. They also offer sit-in and drive-through services.
Looking at the menu, you’ll see that the Coffee on offer is just as good as anything on offer at Starbucks.
Rather than franchising their product, Joanna and Chip chose to focus on offering a unique experience to their customers.
Other than regular coffee, you can also get different Iced lattes, the Texas Pecan coffee, and the seasonal lavender latte. To go with the drinks, customers can also order several baked goods like the lemon blueberry roll and the zucchini muffin.
The Silos Baking Company
The Silos Baking Company was set up in 2016, making it Chip and Joanna’s oldest restaurant.
Unlike the other two restaurants, this establishment opens after 9 am and runs till 6 pm.
The quaint bakery offers a variety of cupcakes, such as lemon & lavender cupcakes. If that doesn’t whet your appetite enough, you can even order a chocolate brownie, delicious bread, and other pastries.
The Silos Baking Company also has the shortest waiting time, 15 minutes to be exact. If you are a fan of cupcakes, this is the right place.
Customers can get unique flavors like nuts & bolts and even cream & strawberries.
Besides this, Chip and Joanna have also revolutionized cookies. They offer options like oatmeal, peanut butter, and the classic chocolate chip.
The menu also contains muffins, cheddar biscuits, and pig bacon.
Like everything else they set up in Waco, the restaurant has become quite popular. So much so that Joanna and Chip decided to expand their business online.
Customers from different parts of the world now have access to these treats.
