“The HGTV family is truly home for us,” the Napiers shared in a joint statement. “Television shows may come and go, but we believe Home Town endures because it’s part of a network that not only inspires but also brings comfort to people. It’s about more than just beautiful homes—it’s about creating something meaningful, and we’re proud to be a part of that.”

In a statement to the media, HGTV Head of Content Loren Ruch praised the Napiers’ impact on the network, saying,

Our collaboration with Ben and Erin has made Home Town a standout hit, consistently delivering strong ratings and resonating with our key audiences. This new deal ensures that fans will continue to enjoy what they love most—the Napiers’ warm dynamic and their passion for restoring beautiful family homes in their small town.”

On Home Town, the Napiers breathe new life into historic homes in their beloved hometown of Laurel, Mississippi. Since its debut in 2016, the show has been a massive success for HGTV, propelling Ben, a skilled woodworker, and Erin, a talented designer, to household-name status.

Beyond television, the couple has built an impressive empire—launching their own businesses, publishing multiple books, partnering with major brands like Swiffer and Chevrolet, and even founding Osprey, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing children’s social media usage.

Over the past nine years, the Napiers have also embraced parenthood, raising their two daughters, Helen, 7, and Mae, 3.

While they occasionally appear on Home Town, the couple is intentional about protecting their privacy, rarely showing their faces on social media.

The second half of Home Town’s eighth season premiered on December 29, with new episodes airing every Sunday night. In a January 27 Instagram post, Ben shared an exciting update, revealing that they “will start filming again soon.”

Erin & Ben Napier’s Alma Mater is Building School in Their Honor to Help Students Emulate Their Success

Ben and Erin Napier’s impact extends beyond their television success—it’s now shaping the future of young tradespeople in their home state. In a heartfelt moment during the third episode of Home Town’s eighth season, which aired in January 2024, the couple received an unexpected and deeply personal honor from their alma mater, Jones College in Ellisville, Mississippi.

Jones College, where Ben and Erin first met and fell in love in 2004 before transferring to the University of Mississippi, announced plans to establish The Erin and Ben Napier School of Design and Building Arts in their name. The news, delivered by the college’s president, left Ben visibly emotional, struggling to hold back tears as he called it “an unbelievable honor.” Erin, equally moved, reflected on their deep connection to the school, saying, “Everyone on both sides of our family went to school here.”

The proposed 35,000-square-foot facility will focus on training the next generation of skilled artisans—carpenters, craftspeople, and building designers—equipping them with the expertise needed to restore and preserve small towns across Mississippi. The college’s president credited the Napiers as an inspiration for the initiative, saying, “We’ve learned a lot by watching you guys and how you’ve been able to revitalize towns. We want to teach those skillsets, from laying a foundation to the advanced work that we see you guys do.”

Currently, the school is actively fundraising to bring this vision to life, ensuring that the legacy of the Napiers continues not just through their show but through the hands of future builders who will keep small-town restoration alive for generations to come.
