Erin, 39, and Ben, 41, had been dropping subtle hints on social media about filming new episodes in their hometown of Laurel, Mississippi.

‘Home Town’ Season Will Start With New Opener

The eighth season of Home Town debuts with a fresh opening sequence, as revealed by Us Weekly. The montage features Erin and Ben Napier driving through downtown Laurel, interspersed with glimpses of stunning home transformations.

Erin narrates, “Every worthwhile journey should be like a great book that you can’t put down. Our homeowners give us one part of the story, and the houses give us the other.

There are so many opportunities, so many unloved houses.” Ben adds, “When we started trying to revitalize homes in Laurel, we wanted our kids to grow up in a place they loved. And now, we’re doing it!”

As the scene shifts to the couple walking across a street with their laughing daughters, Erin chimes in, “We have plenty of work left to do.”

The Napiers have been the heart of Home Town since its debut in 2016, combining Ben’s woodworking skills and Erin’s design talent to transform old homes in Laurel for small-town clients.

At the start of the series, the couple was living in a cozy cottage in their hometown, stunned that HGTV had approached them.

Since then, their lives have flourished—they’ve welcomed two daughters, six-year-old Helen and two-year-old Mae, and built a thriving brand that extends beyond the show, including books, endorsement deals, and local businesses in Laurel.

The premiere episode of Home Town Season 8, airing on December 29, is titled “When Life Gives You Tomatoes,” according to Us Weekly.

In this episode, viewers will follow Erin and Ben Napier as they help Tally and Mike Scully find their dream midcentury modern home.

The couple is searching for a property with space for a large garden and a specialty kitchen to support their thriving salsa and hot sauce business.

The outlet also revealed that throughout the season, the Napiers will take on a variety of exciting projects, including a lake house expansion, the renovation of a historic homestead, and an update to one of their previous transformations.
