Great news for fans of Bargain Block! The dynamic trio—Keith Bynum, Evan Thomas, and Shea Hicks-Whitfield—are set to return to your television screens soon. After a successful third season, HGTV has officially announced the renewal of Bargain Block for a fourth season, along with an exciting new spin-off titled Bargain Block: New Orleans.
Loren Ruch, who oversees content at HGTV, shared his excitement about the upcoming projects. He noted that millions of viewers have been captivated by Keith, Evan, and Shea’s incredible work in transforming Detroit neighborhoods. With this new 10-episode order for Season 4, the team will continue their mission to breathe new life into even more homes.
But that’s not all—HGTV is expanding the beloved series with Bargain Block: New Orleans. In this spin-off series set in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Keith and Evan will take on the challenge of renovating homes in a completely different environment. Their goal remains consistent: creating beautiful and affordable starter homes that are both safe and accessible.
While Bargain Block: New Orleans will retain much of what fans love about the original show’s format, it introduces fresh challenges unique to its Southern setting. From dealing with hurricane damage to navigating strict local building codes, this new location promises plenty of excitement as Keith and Evan bring their expertise down south.
Ruch emphasized how deeply invested viewers have become in following Keith, Evan, and Shea’s journey over three seasons as they revitalized Detroit communities—a journey that has made Bargain Block one of HGTV’s most popular shows. He expressed confidence that fans would eagerly follow them on their next adventure in New Orleans as they work to preserve and enhance another iconic American city.
The highly anticipated fourth season is expected to premiere alongside its five-episode spin-off during fall 2024 on HGTV. As fans eagerly await these releases, it’s worth noting that Keith, Evan—and Shea too—have been hard at work since January filming episodes while continuing their renovation efforts.
In addition to their success on Bargain Block itself; Keith and Evan have also gained widespread recognition as fan favorites from their appearance on Season 5 of Rock The Block—a testament to their growing popularity within home renovation circles.
Accordingly; sources from HGTV suggest we can expect Season 4 around August 2024—a date many are already marking on their calendars!
