Down Home Fab
Where to watch: HGTV and Discovery+
The passage of time is impossible to ignore when it’s 2022, and the kids of the stars from the MTV reality franchise Teen Mom, which premiered in 2009, are now teenagers themselves. Yet, as time soldiers on, former Teen Mom 2 star Chelsea DeBoer (née Houska) has transcended her past, trading in her former gig for a new one as an interior designer with her own show on HGTV.
Premiering on Jan. 16, Down Home Fab follows Chelsea and her husband Cole as they launch their home renovation and design business in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Fans of Chelsea will remember the reality star for her ever-changing, emo-inspired hair, and her love for animal print. Though her style has certainly matured, there are still traces of her former self subtly woven into her designs. A mother of four — she welcomed her first daughter Aubree, now 13, with ex Adam Lind on the MTV show 16 and Pregnant before going on to welcome son Watson, 5, daughter Layne, 4, and daughter Walker, 2, with Cole — Chelsea describes her design aesthetic to HGTV.com as “ranch glam.”
Though her aesthetic leans more toward “eclectic” than it does “cheugy,” it’s nice to see Chelsea embracing her boldness and creativity outside of the petty drama of her reality TV days. Down Home Fab airs on HGTV Monday nights.
